Health tip for week Sept 21st

  • Do NOT take the flu vaccine shot.

The flu vaccine shot does not prevent the flu nor protect against the vast-majority of flu related death.  In fact, studies show that flu vaccines are unsafe and ineffective.

The vaccine contains preservative thimerosal which is 49% mercury by weight.  According to the CDC, the majority of flu vaccines contain thimerosal. Some contain as much as 25 mcg of mercury per dose. This means that it may contain more than 250 times the Environmental Protection Agency’s safety limit for mercury.

The flu strains selected are cultivated in chick embryos for several weeks before being inactivated with formaldehyde, which is a known cancer-causing agent. Then they’re preserved with thimerosal.

In addition to mercury, flu vaccines also contain other toxic or hazardous ingredients like:

  • Aluminum — a neurotoxin that has been linked to Alzheimer’s disease
  • Triton X-100 — a detergent
  • Phenol (carbolic acid)
  • Ethylene glycol (antifreeze)
  • Betapropiolactone – a disinfectant
  • Nonoxynol – used to kill or stop growth of STDs
  • Octoxinol 9 – a vaginal spermicide
  • Sodium phosphate

Here is a short video about “what is in the flu shot?”.  It’s very funny but also very true.

The best thing you can do is boost your body’s natural immune function and here are some tips:

  • Have a healthy lifestyle. A good immune system starts with eating whole foods (not processed), exercise, good sleep, and address emotional stressors.
  • Vitamin D…Research continues to show that as a population we are becoming more and more deficient in Vitamin D and our immune system is just one of the things that begins to suffer. In the winter months, it is often difficult to get the adequate requirements of sun and Vitamin D, so supplementation becomes necessary.
  • Vitamin C…higher doses than you may think (2000mg/day). Help keep a strong immune response.
  • Wash hands!

Please, be aware of this and pass the word to everybody you care.  Say no to flu vaccine shots!  Below is a link on more information about the flu shot if you are interested in learning more about it.  You can also read about it on the internet.  There are plenty available information out there.
